Man, whats with the old news, bungie stated, in a weekly update, at the start of this year that they will NOT have a game on the shelves this year, 2006, halo3 will be released in 2007, which has been a well known fact for a long time bungie also said "we promise to have some real information on our next prject by the end of 2006" in this said update (which was in january afaik) :rolleyes:

yep, and regardless, it will be 2007, not 2006, unless they put the staff at bungie on super drugs, and work them 128 hours a day until the ps3's release and it will no doubt be rushed like halo2, and be a disappointment.

hopefully the achievements will be real hard to get, like 1 point for each one earned (1000 doubles kills in matchmaking - 1 point)

to make it last forever.

yeah! totally awesome! i can't wait to spend €75 on the game on top of an extra €150 odd on a HD-addon!

agreed his comment was undoubtably retarded, but it would prolly still be cheaper then buying a ps3 :rolleyes: with its apparent 60GB hd, blu ray drive, etc... for a price below €500. But yeah, MS have stated "no 360 game will be released on hd-dvd"

ps3 will probably be expensive, but i doubt it'll clock much more then the 360 premium did (which i shelled out for fairly happily).

anyway, i'm glad halo3 is delayed. the longer the better. let bungie get it right, then release something special, something worth buying.... and give me another "making of..", that was cool

Halo 2 did raise the bar, for multiplayer.......I actually never played the campaign, more into deathmatches!

Its still better than all my 360 games so far, its the single best multiplayer game ever as far as im concerned.........

It would be an embaressment to have their flagship game for next year come out on 2 or more discs, but they'd prefer to having sales hindered by forcing a HD-DVD addon purchase too.

My bet, however, is that Halo 3 will be the first major game to demand a HDD... I'm basing that on nothing though.

Footy Manager 06 requires a HD, but then again it's not a "major" release as such

why would it be an embaressment for it to be on 2 discs? wouldnt bother me at all if it was on 2 discs, would definately prefer it to having to buying a pointless hddvd drive

As would I, but after MS took the line that the current DVD-8 (or whatever it is) system that they use would allow for plenty of space for most releases and that even with HD multiple-disc games are way in the future, to have their most anticipated game on more than 1 disc would simply prove that there was an error of judgement on that part from the base design of the 360.

That's the way I see it anyway; while I agree that the saving made to make the 360 without the HDDVD drive far outweighs the hassle of disc-swapping, it's still something that's potentially damaging to the integrity of the companies decisions.
