    Grainy sand on shoeless soul,
    Fading further in the distance
    Lapping waves take more away-
    From our little island.
    Such gentle incantation
    Of our basket woven hands,
    But translucent to the backdrop
    Can't you see it?
    The tides refusal to give in.
    So walk along these shores-
    And yes, lament
    Smile and watch, as this destruction
    Becomes the next creation.
