I have a wireless mercury keyboard and mouse and since i bought it the f2-f12 keys havent worked i have gotten around this up until now and put up with it
But i want to update my BIOS and i need to press f2 on startup to get the exact version
I would preferablly want my keyboard to work properly but any help on either of the problems would be appreciated

stick in a regular plug and play keyboard either serial(p/s2) or usb to get into your BIOS.. if its plug and play, just plug it in before you turn on your computer and it should then recognise when you push F2, you shouldnt need any drivers.
As for the problem with the keys on the wireless keyboard, Im afraid i havn't got a clue!!

Is there a key on the keyboard that says F lock or something similar?

No its just a regular keyboard apart from the shortcut buttons around the sides.
I think thats the problem to be honest because most of the short cuts use the f keys anyway.
Thanks for the help guys anyway...
