I was up in the Wicklow Mountains yesterday near the Sally Gap. I have the pleasure to report that the Merlin population is still strong in that area. I saw a minimum of three males and five females along a three mile stretch of the road. That was without even leaving the car!! I think the Merlin is possibly my favourite…
