Internet connection.

I have been having a lot of difficulty with my ISDN connection. Bit of a story to it.
I deleted it by accident(our ISDN internet connection) tried to restore it but when I did, I couldn't find it. I set up a new internet connection but it kept disconnecting, so I made a new one using a new number and it didnt work either. The new number was the one listed in some ISDN help tool we got when it was set up by Eircom. So out of desperation I got the number my mate uses to connect to the net and was using that. It was working fine but anytime I disconnect and connect again my internet connection goes to some crazy 0088 number. So I always have to make another new internet connection when I want to connect to the internet.

So erm..do any of ye have Eircom ISDN and what number do ye use? or any ideas how to solve this. Kinda doing my head in.

Sounds like you have a dialler program on your pc trying to make international calls to rack up your phone bill.

0088 number sounds very dodgy.

Got up to date antivirus ?

Cheers guys, I have norton but it's not the best. Do ye know any free virus programmes I can download? It must be a dialler allright, kinda worrying :eek: . I'll give Eircom a ring.

I think the dialler is gone, anytime I connect to the net it no longer resets to that 0088 number, ye think that means it's gone?

If it was a dialer its very unlikely its uninstalled itself so give this free anti virus a go http://free.grisoft.com/doc/2/lng/us/tpl/v5 its called AVG and also no harm to have some spyware/adware protection google these and download them if your interested in saving yourself hassle in the future
