Band seeks guitarist

    Everyone always starts with influences. *deep breath*

    We like, Pavement, Yo la Tengo, Weezer, Sonic Youth, McLusky, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Rilo Kiley, Ima Robot, Secret Machines, Metric, Smashing pumpkins, Patti Smith, Cinematic Orchestra, A Perfect Circle, Incubus, Pearl Jam, K's Choice, Our Lady Peace, Mad at Gravity, Autolux.

    Everyone in the band likes different music so its not essential you're into these bands but its as good a guideline as I can give you.

    Were serious, so no time wasters please.

    Must be good (good timing and own gear essential), must have flair and have an interest in writing songs as we all write together.

    Band set up so far is vocals(female), bass, drums and keys.

    Yes got a few but they are of the old stuff. Not what we're writing now. So they'd really be of no use to you. If you know what I mean.

    Plenty of gigging experience, from big venues to small. Have our own rehearsal room.
    I'm guessing your doing the leaving cert now? Surely that puts some sort of restrictions on when your available?

    New project with some of the Soft Cuddly Toys. One of a few projects I've got going on. Just looking to find the "right" guitarist for this band. Don't expect that to happen fast.

    heh.. I may be interested. But i don't really like any of your influences except Incubus, but i do like your SCT's material. But i like my rock n roll too...

    I dunno, have a listen to my old band and see if you think i'd fit the bill. As i said i like my rock n roll, but i like more mellower stuff too.. :)

    Cool will have a listen. Influences are really only a rough guide line. Everyone in the band has different tastes.
