    Hi All

My first thread so be gentle with me.
    What would you do?

    Last 3 of an MTT.

I'm in BB with 200k with KK
    Button has 400k (loose player)
    SB has 360k (tight player)

    Blinds 10k/20k
    button goes all in (again!)
SB calls (1st time in last 3)

KK looks great, but do i let the bigger stacks fight it out or get involved?
do i want to be in a great position for 2nd or for the win and call?

    look forward to your comments.

Doesn't matter just tank it in as quick as you can.

    Easy call.

If either of them have AA, you suck it down and take the money for third place. The odds of this happening is ~ 1% (4/50 * 3/49) * 2 opponents.

The worst possible hands they could both have against you would be something like AQs and 9Ts, where the odds break down as:
    KK: 51%
    AQs: 28%
    9Ts: 21%
As the return on your money is over 2/1, a 50/50 is easily acceptable even in the worst case scenario.

If both have pocket pairs, then the odds are even better for you:
    KK: 66%
    QQ: 19%
    JJ: 15%

SO barring the situation where you face aces, you cannot afford to lay this hand down if you have any intention to win the event.

    Dave

i cant really see a pay out that would make this a fold esp with the discription u gave of the button being loose.

I had a hand recently like this, $200 FO on tribeca. Utg has 9 blinds goes all in. The button who is the chip leader with 30 flat calls. I have KK on the sb (with 20bbs) and cant shovel my chips into the pot fast enough. Button obv has AA and afterwards I wondered if I could of gotten away from it. Does he flat call with any other hand?

    Edit to add 4 handed

If the chip leader is unbelievably tight than maybe. But surely he will be flat-calling with AK AQ QQ JJ TT etc..

he would push with those hands i think

I'd say he might flat call here with most Pocket pairs over 9 and AQo+, but obviously it would all depend on the Villian. I'd say he'd play all these hands the same, if he wanted protection for QQ, AK, 99, AA, I'd say he'd raise with them all, just the same way.

EDIT: Just saw your post above if you think he'd push with those then there's a tiny chance you could have got away from it. But still it would be a HUGE fold. 4 handed folding KK. Never like this..

Isaac - fine call. Unless you want to basically guarantee an extra $60 then fold, but I'd call here without too much thought later.

Why? I don't see much of an advantage in pushing with a lot of those hands as you are probably only calling his push with AA or KK. Granted if he flat calls he may be open to a squeeze but flat-calling is optimal in his position with anything big pair or big ace IMO. I don't see how you can get away from KK four-handed in this spot.

I've seen people flat call here with as little as TT. No way am I folding the KK.

im not seriously suggesting I should of folded there, but I should of at least considered the strength he was showing and possibly folded some worse hands.

Anything from QQ+ would be almost impossible to fold here imo.
