Not sure if this is the right forum but i am starting out as a gardener. I am wondering what kind of red tape is involved with being a sole trader. Anybody ever setup as a sole trader, would appreciate any info, thanks...

To set up as a sole trader you must register for tax, this can be done by filling out a TR1 form from the Revenue.

If you are trading under any other name bar your own, you must regsiter this name with the CRO.

After that make sure you have a good accounting system in place and source some good suppliers, you have a marketing strategy and financial backing and your set.

    Good luck with your venture!
