Sky Sports News says it'll be an Irish consortium! I've a question would they not be better off pumping some money into the domstic game, or take on a top EL club or Pats ;).

    locigal reasons for doing so:
    1. There is more chance of getting into the CL and recouping money
    2. He's from walkinstown a local boy
    3. The EL needs some high profile names attached to it.
    4. It would cost him a lot less

Hmm, an interesting proposition, but why would anyone invest in a league that not even tha national association gives a shiney shyte about?

Because theres more chance of an EL club getting into Europe than Blunderland and seeing as Europe is the money spinner, easy money for him. It wouldn't take much for a team to be like the chelsea of the EL a few mil and they could afford all the top EL talent
