Caribbean Island Hopping (on a budget)

Was thinking about going caribbean island hopping and was wondering is their a good ferry/boat service between the southern islands? (barbados/St. Kitts/St. Barts/Antigua/St. Maarten). Their seems to be very little info about this in general. I think the caribbean is trying to lure more wealthy couples/famalies rather than budget backpacking 2 star tourists. Their was another thread about this a while back but no real answers.

    All info/thoughts welcome.

I don't know how tight your budget is, but there are frequent flights between all the islands for $70-$150. I think Caribair, Air Caraibes and Air Jamaica were the ones we saw most often. And I'd add St Lucia to your list if you can fit it in.
