Simple ADSL Question

    Folks,
    I'm used to having cable broadband, but I'm going to have to switch to adsl.
    Are any lines going to have to be installed? Or will everything be carried by my standard telephone line. i.e. nobody will have to come out to my house and drill while etc, unlike with NTL. Will I just get the pack (with moden etc) and a double adaptor for my telephone line?
