Car alarm going off & doing my head in!!!

    Hi folks,

There's a car alarm going off since 10.30 last night just outside the apt complex and it is frying my brain!

I phoned the cops and they insist there is nothing that they can do. I have asked them to trace the owner via reg number... and they said they MIGHT call to the address later today but he said there is little he can do about it - its not a garda matter. The fact that it was going off all night doesn't seem to matter.

I asked him who I could get to look after the issue and he said the council but he didn't sound 100%.

Anybody have any advise before my head explodes!

So disturbing the peace is not a garda matter, I would like that in writing the next time the ignorant fukkers call to a party complaining about noise.

What you do is go outside, lift the front of the car up (not by the bumper though, that might fall off) to a 30 degree angle. This will trick the computer into thinking it's being towed and the alarm will switch off.

    shazam!

Just because her name is Zena on here I don't think she would be able to do this in real life !!! :p

Surely Section 108 of the Environmental Protection Agency Act 1992 and the Environmental Protection Agency Act (Noise) Regulations 1994 (SI No. 179 of 1994) covers car alarms....

Call them again quoting the above.

Put a brick through the window or set fire to it. It will then be a Garda matter and they'll have to tow the car away. Sorted!
