converting digital 4x3 ratio into 3x2 for printing 6x4 prints

hiya Bit of a silly question but what is the best way to convert digital pictures to give 6x4 prints without cropping at photo development or lossing information? Can you make the aspect ratio 3x2 on a digital camera or do you use software to change the ratio on your shoot after? thanks for the help

you will lose information if you print at a 3:2 ratio, fact

only way around it is to print with white borders but the borders won't be of equal size

you could change the ratio in any image editing program but you will stretch the image making everything look distorted
