Jodix Ipod video converter

has anyone else used this program from www.jodix.com to convert a ripped dvd to mp4? If so does it work on your ipod, on mine it will play for 10 seconds and then lose the sound and when i go to something else in the ipod menu it will crash and restart. the ripped mp4 will play fine in itunes and quicktime.
