I have a Sony Vaio FX503 Laptop which needs repairing. It has 2 power problems. Firstly the power connection on the laptop is broken so this will need replacing. It does work at the moment but you need to jiggle/hold the connector at a certain angle for the laptop to work. Secondly the battery does not charge. This is not a issues with the battery as it's new. Maybe it's part of the first fault described or maybe the charging circuit is faulty.

    Can anyone:

A/ Fix it for me for a fee
B/ Recommend a repairer in Galway
C/ Recommend a repairer somewhere in Ireland.

    Thanks in advance.

Only place I know what repairs laptops http://www.computersunlimited.ie/ I've never used them myself though friends have and found them ok. You could ring them and describe the problem. They perhaps might have an idea what it might be. Sound like you might get lucky and its a minor problem. Alternatively you might ring Sony and see what they charge. I'd assume that might be expensive though.
