First thoughts would be it's not supported!

Is it on the supported cards list?

hey i 2 have the same prob fed. I bought a Hauppauge Wintv usb card which workd but found it wasnt compatible then Bought a Pinnacle PCTV card which from the site i bought said XP MCE (media center edition) compatible, but when i used it it turned out wasnt compaitble with the MCE software IE the tuner. So now have to get the Hauppauge Wintv Usb2 pvr which is supported! Such Feckn Hassle! But Hopefully worth it, cuz the media center isnt good for anything else and i got the remote Control which is useless wivout it! Cheers Basq..... for that link to!:D

What do you mean software on trial, what kind & is he using MCE 2005 ?

For MCE to work with a TV Tuner it must have a MCE compliant driver it's really nothing more than the regular driver but with the hooks into the MCE UI.

Some people at least with prior versions of MCE hacked drivers for certain TV cards to work though in most cases there was an MCE version of the same card along with a non-MCE version.

Is this your TV tuner card, if so it is not an MCE compliant device by the looks of it.
