I must have been typing the wrong stuff into the search all I got was spam sites or time bombed programs.

Microsoft Media Player free with all windows plays DVD, unless you are using an old OS.

Well, typing "Free" into a search engine is usually a mistake.

I recommend VLC, by the way.

    Malafus,
I use VLC as well, over the last week or two i am getting lip sink issues and the video stalling for a second from time to time.

Do you see this or is it the files i am playing.

I heard there won't be any updated versions of the VLC Player? If so that sucks because i hate the volume control on that player

VLC is not the most stable player, and indeed, not my primary media player. I find that I do get audio/video sync issues occasionally, but not so often as to be a huge problem. It mainly occurs with .mkv files, and occasionally with .ogm files as well, so I suspect it may have something to do with the multiple streams in those containers.
I use Zoom Player as my default media player, and it handles .ogm and .mkv with no issues... usually. Codecs can always be an issue; something that VLC eliminates entirely.
