    Hi,

I'm currently looking for a good irish dev/design company. Looking for feedback and advice on companies to use.

Skills must include online marketing and database integration, logo and style already designed.

Not looking for anyone to pimp their service(s). Just looking for company names so I can go off and research their portfolio's.

Anyone got any first hand experience.

I know these type of threads sometimes cause bickering, but i'm purely looking for opinions, thanks

I would say www.designbyfront.com are probaully the best in ireland.

To be honest though I would use a freelancer, you get better service and it costs about a third of the price.

Freelancing is where its at. :)

Why are you so against people sending you PM's?

Thats how I find people. Forums are great for finding people.

Another problem is not all peoples work is on their sites, I do truck loads of online marketing, but I never put most of it online.

I suppose I should, note to self, update my site ;)

I dont really want people pm'ing me a URL and nothing else. I'm requesting opinions from users. Perhaps if a top notch freelancer wants to contact me, thats fine ;)

There are loads of freelance sites out there.
If you want to go down the CMS road, and jump on the joomla/mambo bandwagon here are two i looked at when looking for someone to develop a component:

    www.mambolance.com
    www.joomlancers.com

    Good luck

Some top Irish companies I've dealt with in the past in some form or another...

    Tibus - www.tibus.com
    MediaOne - www.mediaone.ie
    SpoiltChild - www.spoiltchild.com (brilliant design/creativity)
    The Design Tribe - www.thedesigntribe.com
    2bscene - www.2bscene.net (specialise in web marketing)

Also, for freelancers, definately checkout www.freelanceireland.ie for loads of good freelancers and you can view their portfolios from that site and stuff.

Personally, I'm a IT consultant. I deal with companies looking for web applications and sites. I work together with 3 other freelancers (graphic designer, database/web developer and html/css/marketing expert) and together with my own work, provide an all round service. If you're interested in talking, you can PM me. (i wasn't going to pimp my services but you said "Perhaps if a top notch freelancer wants to contact me, thats fine" - am i top notch? you can ask my clients! :D)

The links above include some of the top web companies in Ireland (IMHO). You do get a great service from them. I've consulted for a number of companies and brought in these companies for the work. It really all depends on your budget.

    Best of luck anyway.

    Rgds,

    Dave
