I got one of the sky dlink remotes for 2nd tv but its not working and i'd like to get a theory confirmed or denied.
I have a splitter 1 in 4 out dist to 4 tv's , i have a feeling this operates in 1 direction only and the single cant get thru it to the sky reciever???
if this is the case what option have i got to rectify this.
    Any help appreciated

Unless the distribution amplfier claims to be be Sky eye compatible it isn't. It has to supply 9V DC AND pass the eye signal back.

Either replace the amplifier with one out of B&Q or Maplin or whereever that does, or you can get a bypass adaptor for one outlet. It is two inline plug/sockets connected by a wire.

You also need the eye supply turned on and to ONLY use Sky box RF2

Services 4 0 1 select is hidden installler menu to change RF modulator channel and turn on "eye" facility on RF2 outlet.

If it's a standard F-type metal splitter, then most of these will not work. They, as you say, only send power one direction.

The only one I've managed to work a Sky eye, is a Philex branded one. It only has power pass on One leg, this is the leg that must be used.

Otherwise just get a Sky-compatible distribution amp, the 4 way versions get their power from the digibox also, so need for mains wiring.

Personally, I prefer the Triax one, though the Global one is OK too.
