Hi I have a dell latitude 810c laptop and the display is gone very bad on it. its like a bad reception on a tv. its not a driver issue as i have booted from a live cd and its still the same and also when in the bios its the same. So now i want to find out if its the screen or the video card. I attached a monitor to it and its perfect so my question is does this mean its not the card??

if external monitor looked fine then it's a screen prob.

Could be a loose connection or backlight issue. If it's under warranty contact Dell.

Go into safe mode and if it looks OK there reduce the screen refresh rate and try again. Otherwise it may be effed
