    Motorhead to play The Point

Woooaaaaaaargh! is declared in October when Motörhead play their biggest ever Irish headliner.

The band planning on invading The Point on the 31st where they're sure to prove they haven't slowed down with age.

Despite – or perhaps because – of his superhuman ingestion of chemicals, Lemmy has managed to do it louder, faster and more beligerantly than anyone else for a staggering 31 years.

Along the way he’s attracted such A-List admirers as Ozzy Osbourne, Johnny Depp and Dave Grohl who’s invited Motorhead to open for the Foos in June when they play London’s Hyde Park.

Diehards will also be interested in the inaugural Nantymoel Motörhead Festival, which takes place in Wales from June 2 and 4 and includes a male voice choir recital of ‘Ace Of Spades’.

Tickets priced €49.25 are on sale now.

So should this go in the Punk or Rock/Metal forum?

Thats bollix!! The Foo's are shìte! they shouldn't be allowed on the same fùcking bill as Motorhead.

Both, a rare occasion, but I'd say it belongs in Both. Theres no Rock 'n' Roll forum so Both.

I'll deffinatly be at this, as long as I have the money, but they're one of me favourite bands.

I hope for you guys their performance is better than when they played Dalymount park in '83. They were boo'd off the stage and if I remember correctly when Lemmy threw the mike stand into the crowd they threw it back. It was the worst performance of the day.

    Ah the memories........http://my.tbaytel.net/~tgallo@tbaytel.net/anvil/dublin83.jpg

STFU! Lemmy has an intrest in and collects German war memorabilia , alot of which sports the swastika, so what? Doesn't make him a Nazi, are history museums Nazis?

They're not a Punk band, they're a Rock n Roll band. But have a large enough Punk following so I think there should be mention of them in Punk.

Now kindly fùck off and make un-informed remarks elsewhere.

Did i touch a nerve or something?

Well, THEY are not a punk band, hence this is in the wrong forum.

The 2nd last show in Dublin was in Vicar St and was excellent, the Ambassador show left me underwhelmed - sound was quite ropey / bum notes and stuff, weak setlist etc. Even the Pistols would not get me to the Point!

I have and never will set foot in the Point, Motorhead as people said earlier are unique and yes they could fit mostly into metal forum but also guess here too.
I don't personally like them but have pogo'd to Ace of Spades many a time (when bands done a cover of it)
