i had mine on monday, went grand really, i was pretty happy :)

i was proud of myself, i wasnt nervous going in, and my hands werent shaking, and i didnt feck up the bits i was worried about! (i messed up other bits instead  )

the sight reading went bad though.
it was so easy, but i made a balls of it.

    (i did 6 piano pieces btw )

    anyone else??

Not everyone has done them yet. My school was yesterday and today. I was the 1st up in my school and I think I did well. The examiner was impressed with my pieces and complimented me on them, cos I wrote or arranged most of them. She was actually really nice, the examiner. She didn't rush me or really enforce the 25 minute time limit.
I also did the sight reading unprepared test on rhythm guitar and I honestly found it unbelievable that they could ask a Leaving Cert student it, it was so easy!
I do the Higher Level and I did the performing elective, by the way.

she complimented all of us on every one of our pieces too, which was cool.

she cut me off of on the one i wrote which annoyed me a bit, cos i was just getting to the good bit! :o

    aah well..

    glad it went well.

ours were over by about 12.30, cos theres only 8 of us to do it.

I haven't done mine yet, it's due next week either tues or thurs. There's no music in our school, so we have to go to a nearby school to do it, and their music teacher is sick so I don't know when it is for certain yet. I'm playing sax and flute for it, should be fairly ok.

I'm a bassist but I used my acoustic for the sight reading. I know my chords so it was easy-peasy.

My pieces were: A swing jazz song I wrote
    Soul to Squeeze
    Stone Cold Bush
    An Arrangement of Take 5
Taxman (just had to do a Beatles song!!)
    A bass solo I wrote.

The first time I heard it was at Slane but I didn't know what it was. I was so pissed off that they cut it from the DVD  (John broke a string during the Solo)

I played 4 pieces on the tin whistle accompanied by my sister on the harp and then 4 on the piano. The examiner was really impressed by my selection of pieces and was talking to my sister about the harp for 10 minutes in the middle of the exam!
Messed up a bit on the sightreading, but grabd...
