    Hi All,

Does anyone have any recommendations on the best shipping company to use? I am shipping in a car from North Carolina (leaving from either Charleston NC or Savannah GA).

    Thanks.

I had my cars shipped from France by an Irish company, Royal Oman I think they were called. Very professional and efficient.

For long oceanic travel you will have to choose between RORO (Roll On Roll Off), where the car is driven to the harbor then lifted onto the deck and travels outside (cheap) or container...

I checked out Rybec and they said they ship it to Southhampton. I was thinking on driving it to Holyhead and getting the ferry over.

    Any opinions?

Out of interest, do any companies ship directly to Ireland?

brought mine in by Online logistix in Blanch, $2500 plus another couple of hundred once landed. It was trailered from Chicago to Ny and then by container to Dublin. Biggest problem was getting it through customs in the states

A 1972 Citroen SM. Biggest problems were the American Customs as I said and finding a dock leveler that was long enough to get the car out of the container.
