hi guys, can i set up an xp/linux dual boot where they reside on different hard drives but on different ide channels. i.e. xp on ide0 and linux on ide1 or does on have to be on a slave drive of the other? thanks

Yeah, no problem. AFAIK, Windoze has some limitations in this area - has to be channel 1 master, I think - but Linux doesn't.
