Sorry to continue this ... but I seem to have started it ... I merely tried to give the guy some advice ... I don't want him banned ...

If anybody thinks they are safe using a nom-de-plume on a forum - and specifying a stable contact that says a horse will not be winning - and laying it on the exchanges - well they are misguided ...

... this is the end of the matter for me ... and here is a copy of the Private Message I sent to europeboy ( unanswered ) ...

    Howdy

see my message on your green tango thread ... maybe I am over-reacting but I think you are exposing yourself and your contact on a public forum ... just my opinion.

Keep the good info coming though ... I need some of it after Cheltenham!

I think that this has been blown out of all proportion tbh. The guy was banned, not for his post on the lay, more for his reaction to his post being (correctly) questioned. Nobody had a part in his downfall, apart from him, and he expressed a preference for not posting here anymore. He's banned for a week (i think) and he will be allowed post after that. We all lose the rag, fook up, say things we should not. If he wants to post here after his ban, he is more than welcome.

That's really all I have to say on the matter, I don't really think that there is much debate to be had. I will, however allow this thread to run, as it *may* serve some purpose. Please no "bring him back" type posts. He is banned, he will be unbanned when his banning is finished.

You have nothing to apologize for Tom. You made a fair point and he showed no respect in his replies. Nobody is bigger than the rules of the forum.

How long is he banned for, although I doubt he'll be back.

I thought he was only banned for 1 week. why did you change it or am I just wrong

    Why does any1 really care?

And anyway he said himself he was never posting here again before he got the ban, so the ban is hardly even an issue.

Maybe I'm wrong but if his tips were as succcessful long term as he'd like one to believe surely he'd be living it up somewhere...
