Why on gods green earth, have I started to consistently call those stupid fvcking small river raises. I have never seen anybody turn over anything less than a total monster when they raise "small" on the river (be it minraise, or otherwise) ... yet there I go again, flinging anything between 100 and 450 into the pot with my stupid fvcking top pair, or top two or whatever it might be).

You would think that I would learn ... but ooohhh no, I just press that call button again and again and again.

Lol, I've been doing a little bit too much calling on the river this week too. I hate that I've sometimes paid off pot bets from guys I know have hit their draw, making it right for them to draw against me. That's a screw that I'm going to tighten up for this week.

FFS Fuzz, you know better than to call off small milking bets on the river. Get a grip you muppet.

River milking calls by Donkeys are the reason I play Poker. Long may you continue to be a total muppet.

If it's a small raise in comparison to the pot. Then I think I still call, say if the bet is 10% - 25% of the pot, then he only has to be bluffing 1 in 10 times or 1 in 4 times to make this a breakeven play. Obviously I prefer the 10% to the 25%, and alot of my decision would depend on how the hand played out, but I can't help paying off these small bets. If they call a decent turn bet, hit their hand, and then milk a little out of me on the river, I'll at least take comfort that they didn't get the required implied odds on the turn when they called.

Possibly your playing with the same guys too often by now and a change of site is needed??

Normally if a player raises the river small, the chance of your hand being good is close to 0%, so it doesnt really matter what odds you are being given. The only problem is if always fold in these spots a good player could really exploit it.

Thats exactly the problem. I've successfully made the small bet bluff a few times. At the level I play it gets called down too often for it to be an overly useful weapon, a sthere are far too many calling stations at $1/$2, so it can only be used against certain opponents.
