Hi.... I have good news.. The Sports Bar in UL has very very kindly given sponsorship to the IV. Every archer that is registered will recieve a lunch voucher that will get them lunch and a mineral/ juice for only €5. The food is really good, and the portions are substantial. And they will be showing the quarter final of the Heinekin Cup.

    Score!

Archery, food and rugby. Always a nice combo!

As it happens, last year in UL we watched Ireland Vs Wales and the year before that it was Ireland Vs England. Can't have a UL IV without rugby!

UL IV results and whole season are up on UCD website.

As a side note, during the prize presentation Ewan said that there were 11 points between UL and GMIT in season total. But it is if counting best 6 out of 7 team scores, which is not the correct. All team scores must be counted. Luckily, order of teams does not change and correct difference is 129 points.

None of the links are working on the ucd site, been like that for the last week.Anyone know why?

Thats what I thought too... then I asked Mags[Memori] and she said it was minus-worst-score... *shrugs* - as you said, it doesnt change the order of anything, just makes it a bit... tighter :)

None of the links at all? Or IV results? It's working perfectly here.

hold on just 2 minutes. i was at a meeting early in the season where there was quite a discussion over whether or not it should be top 5 scores from the season or whether it should be all scores minus your worst. All minus the worst was voted in, and there was absolutely no mention about counting all 7 IV scores.

Last year (2004-5 season) it was introduced that for the Male and Female Individual competitions, that your worst score wouldn't be counted. There was 6 competitions, so the top 5 scores of each archer were counted. This was because people were finding it hard to attend every single competition. It gave a small bit of breathing room for people. Those that attended every competition had a slight advantage, but those that missed one weren't automatically out of the race.

The Team competition is separate. Where there is room for an individual to miss a competition there is no reason for an entire team to miss one. So ALL competitions scores are counted for teams.

If i remember right because there were 7 competitions this year, it was considered whether to count 5-6 scores for each archer in the male/female categories. I don't think the Team scores were considered. Buts that just what i understood to have happened i wasn't there.

Either case, it would nice if people would read the rules, for the latest version go to.

I'd also suggest that whoever is moderator of the forum, create a new sticky thread and put the latest version of the rules in it.

In short (as few people seem capable of reading more than a couple of lines of writing).
Individuals - Worst score doesn't count
    Team - ALL scores count

Was that just for the individual scores for people? I wasn't at the meeting so I don't know.
