heres the story from a to z,
basically ive downloaded and installed the new version of mozilla firefox and for some reason now it doesnt seem to be working. While I.E. is working perfectly, firefox aint able to surf no more :(. Using a laptop on wi-fi.
Another problemo, basically my computer isnt shutting down properly anymore, which is really annoying. is there anyway of solving this. I heard that if you use system restore this helps the problem? What exactly does system restore do? Do you lose data?

Cheers for your help ladies and gents.

Could you be a bit more specific? What error message does Firefox display? Have you set up your internet connection within Firefox? What happens when you shut down your computer?

yeah, you have to give more details. the more the better.

*possibly your firewall is blocking firefox.

*there may be a virus on your system causing the shut-down problems.

as far as i know you need the xp (i assume you use this) cd to run a system restore. it will restore default settings, but be warned, it is possible that you could lose data.
