    Hey folks,

hoping someone out there can help me. I have the MS 2000 suite on my PC - when I signed up to eircom broadband I got MS Outlook to be my email tool, i.e. I launch Outlook to look at the mails in my eircom account.
All went well for 3 months until......

My trial McAfee security centre period expired. So I went and bought a 1 year subscription to their basic security package...Hacker/ Personal Firewall protection. And since I got it, Outlook won't launch???? I've deleted MS 2000 and re-installed it but am getting the same error message still .....'MS Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience'...

Has this happended to anyone else....or does anyone have an idea about how to fix this????

    Any help much appreciated...

Try disabling the Firewall component and the Privacy service, this causes alot of issues with customers machines I have seen.Go into safe mode where McAfee doesnt start up and try and run Outlook at least you can narrow it down to being McAfee as the cause of the problem this way.
