Hi everyone, just looking for reccomendations for martial arts styles to do in Dublin. Im working and living up there and Im looking for as much training as I can, especially because I may soon be working as a bouncer. Im currently doing Ninpo, Aikido and Karate, but the karate club will be ending soon unfortunately.
One striking style would be preferable, but Im also open to anything thats useful, interesting or fun. Im willing to give anything a try at least :)
So what you got for me?

    Hi Bored.

Where abouts are you located in Dublin? I train in a Kyokushin Budokai club down in East Wall. The system consists of Kyokushin Karate, Kodokan Judo and BJJ, with some Boxing to smooth over the rough edges. Although these styles are all sporting styles, competition is not the primary focus of our training.

We train on a Tuesday evening from 6.30 - 8.30, meet at Connolly Station at 6pm. This will increase as the school grows and when we move on to a better dojo.

For more information please visit www.mma-ireland.com

    OSU,

    Dave.

Funny you should say that, but all of our training is useful, interesting and fun. :D
We're based in Glasnevin on the northside. We have Taekwondo/Kickboxing and a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training group if any of that tickles your fancy. www.ko-martialarts.com or of you want you can pm or mail info@ko-martialarts.com

Where abouts are you based, I might be able to recommend somewhere if our place doesn't suit you.

ITF Taekwon-Do in Cabra Area, BJJ training in Fairview and Hapkido training in Swords, and boxing training in Arbour Hill.

As Cilla Black say - the choice is yours!

Thanks, my brother was looking for a place that does Muay Thai. Friend of mine is looking for a Jeet Kune Do club as well, anyone know anything?

Never heard of a JKD place in Finglas TBH, unless they meant functional JKD, which Andy Ryans place could have been loosely defined as. He's in Donaghmede now though.

Just remembered, there's a JKD club in Raheny. Where abouts I could not tell you though I did go there for a class once. I wouldn't bother with it though, we stood around doing comlpiant drills and forms for an hour. Very opposite to the JKD principle I thought...
