Proberly the last director of his era Richard Fleisher has died at 89.

He had'nt made a film since 1989 and in truth had'nt made a decent flick since Mr Majestic in 1974. His best years came in the late 60s and early 70s with stuff like The New Centurions, See No Evil, 10 Rillington Place, Tora! Tora! Tora!, The Boston Strangler Fantastic Voyage and of course Soylent Green.

He also did Disneys 20,000 Leagues under the Sea and one of the best historical epics "The Vikings".

    Mike.

He did Conan the Destroyer too didn't he?

I loved that film.. so much more fun than the first film.

And his dad made Betty Boop.

Yep, and Red Sonja. Hated Conan The Destroyer though, far prefered the first one.
