ANyone else getting sick of this.

Any time there is a Premiership Plus match on, Chorus go and turn off Eurosport and put it on for people who have paid.

This is pissing me off big time as I miss quite a few things during the year on Eurosport.

Does anyone even know the legality of this.

To me this just shows the greed and desperation of Chorus.

I sent them an email last year and they basically told me to move up to digital or just **** off.

It 's a pay TV operator.

I'd think you should read the T&C. They can make anything PPV.

Same applies with Sky on Satellite. No Irish TV at all unless you pay. They can even change the price without reference to RTE.

The only free Eurosport is the German one from 19E Satellite. Mostly the same.

So really you either upgrade your Chorus or go to Satellite. Satellite has a bigger choice of Pay TV and Free TV.

Chorus is only payTV and can charge PPV or analog or digital as they wish except a few irish channels are "must carry" and in any package (but not free, as you get NO chorus without a sub).

Why on earth are MMDS and cablenets still transmitting premium/PPV channels in ANALOUGE anyway ?????

The CMI contract from 1998 I have here states the channels that are to be provided at "All Times", and it includes Eurosport.

Phoning and shouting was usually quite efficient for getting every Saturdays cable free as they'd broken their contract. But I doubt the post-merger contracts include that list, which is now quite out-of-date compared to what the package carries.
