Il Divo at the Point - mini review

I know I'll win no man points for this, but as part of my effort to broaden my musical mind, I went to see Il Divo in the point the other night.

I gotta say.. it was excellent!! Now the talking between songs was pathetically scripted but those fellas can sing (and would most likely rob yer missis right out from under your nose!).

They had a full band on one side of the stage.. lead and base guitar, keyboards, drums, grand piano etc.. and an orchestra on the other side.

Its hard to describe.. but when the orchestra and the band were working in full flight together, it was a seriously powerful thing to witness!!

Id highly recommend them live.. if only for the musicans they have with them.

Now.. Im off to find guinness and build some walls to get my masculinity back.

It makes a refreshing change that a male has given them a good review. I have been a fan since i saw them on Parkinson in 2004. The concert on wednesday i thought was excellent but i thought as an audience we
were hard work. I think the Sat and Sunday show will be even better as they were the first to go on sale and the Sat night sold out very very quickly, To anyone that is thinking about getting some last minute tickets, do it, it should be a great night out.

I went to see them on the second night. We were right in the "Donut" area, inside the outer stage where they walked around. Great show, I wasn't much of a fan but they really are a talented bunch!
