pensions for returning emigrants

    can someone please provide links regarding the present pension requirments/entitlements for irish emigrants returning to ireland.
    i've been looking arond places like the oireachtas committee on social and family affairs but its a total quagmire.

    please help:(

    http://oasis.gov.ie has a fair few interesting titbits. I'm a bit too busy to sift through all the different things, but here's what I think:

    If the re-pats are returning under Irish citizenship, they will be entitled to the exact same social benefits as any other Irish citizen given their circumstances. If they are coming back under another passport, they may be entitled to these benefits:

    Try Social Welfare as they are the ones who would administer state benefits.

    It may be important to know what country they are returning from and does that country have a pensions agreement with Ireland.

    The pensioner may only be entitled to those benefits that are based on residency (e.g. Travel Pass) and might not be entitled to a contributory pension and may intead be entitled to a means-tested contributory pension.
