Well then you're screwed as all PSP's in shops shp with firmware higher than 2.00, Sony aren't stupid.
You're best off keeping an eye out in FS Consoles.

dont bother with 1.5, all homebrew suck, only few old games will run off your mem card and youll get sick of them, none of the newer games will work and ull just end up updating, i updated recently for street fighter alpha 3.

so your'e saying DON'T???? BUT you still get a good few games don't you??

    Placebo,
you need to update your knowledge on PSP software.
Recent games do work on 1.5(with a little help).
eg. Daxter is a cracking game!!

good few OLD GAMES. Splinter cell/street fighter/metal slug anything upcomming more than likley wont work. Not much point, ull update EVENTUALLY.PLUS sonys next firmware will have a playstation 1 emulator and ull be able to download PS1 games.

my knowledge is fairly up to date, dumping an iso then replacing a prx and re imaging it then going through a gta loader to a play a freeking game is retarded. Besides doesnt work for all games

It's not that complicated. Depending where you get your stuff from, playing many of the newer games is just as easy as it was before.
Theres no need to fiddle about with GTA unless you're keepinthe firmware at 2.0
I'm guessing the OP will keep it at 1.5

In time ALL new games will run off a memory stick I'm fairly sure.
I have no proof of this except the speed at which some of the newer games have become playable.

Check these guys out videgamesplus. Great site and the owner is very helpful. I think this Gretzky NHL pack is an old package (its the one I picked up last April) and it may have the older version of the software.

It wouldnt harm to contact him. And if you do order, make sure you ask him to lower the value of the PSP so yuo dont get stung on import tax

It will play any game, but you may need to get some some hack software to play european movies.

To be honest, this never bothered me. Ive bought a few movies at this stage and I just ordered them from US sites. Far cheaper than buying them locally. Actually bought Family Guy season 1&2 on UMD from amazon.com. 40 dollars for 5 discs with 6 episodes per disc!
