    Hey all,

I got offered a copy of vista beta 2 today....I turned it down but its not too late to change my mind.

Could someone tell me would I have to wipe everything off my pc before installing vista or is it just a simple upgrade that keeps all my files etc etc

I'd be installing it on a hp dv1145ea laptop.....intel centrino 1.6ghz with 512mgs of ram...would that be ok for vista??

you can install as a 'Dual Boot' but that depends on your experiance.

Again, depending on experiance 'Beta' is offered ahead of actual system release, meaning it is still in testing and if anything borks up because of it's use you have no avenue of complaint. Your basically agreeing to test it by using it.

As I say, depends on your level of experiance. If you are not an advanced user then wait for the official 'Public' release, Your more guaranteed that you won't have problems on install.

That said, you should back-up any data before you upgrade your system irrespective. You are guaranteed not to lose your stuff then ;)

    :)

I definetly wouldn't upgrade over your current installation. The beta only lasts a month or so.
If you have a seperate hard drive you are not using, I'd say go for it, I will.
