Anyone interested in an archaeology trip somwhere of mutual interest? Its just an idea right now but im sure if some strings are pulled we could get an expert to give a talk on a site somwhere close by. Dates and Transport could be arrranged . It would be a small group i assume and therfore id hope, very interesting.

well boneless holds some sway with UCD Archsoc. Could we tag along on one of their trips early next year?

Isn't anyone here besides arctic lemur enyhow a member, so that shouldn't be a problem.

boney, do you know if anyone of the ArchSoc is still around this summer, not traveling, who would be interested, as I would prefere to do something while we have at least the chance of good weather rather than rain and wind.

I'll put out a call to see if there is any interest... some of the poor sods are only finished their exams today.

I have no experience in Archaeology but I would go for fun because I 've been to a few sites myself to see whats been done etc.

I put the word around and have had some positive responses. I PM'd Grimes and am still waiting for a reply!!!!

I think that it does not matter how small a group we get together as long as we are an interested group!!

Transport is the main problem but I am sure we should be able to muster a few drivers.

    I have a spare crash-helmet :D

Grimes can take three as well... eight sounds good to me for a trip!!

July 8th and 15th are out for me though... conference and fieldtrips with adult ed UCD those two days. Any body want to suggest a date?
