Does anyone have any experience with Behringer gear? Their bass gear in particular. My band needs a new bass amp and these Behringer amps are very affordable. Are they good value or just cheap ****e?

i have a 120w (guitar)amp i got from thomann last year and it sounds good for the price but nothing special. i have since invested in a POD and this has brought it to life, it sounds great with all the amp models, i have yet to use it live though and have never pushed it past 4 volume wise.

Deep down you already know the answer to that, or you wouldn't be asking. ;)

Well, I've got a Behringer V-Amp Pro here, which I really just use for practice/messing about, and trying out some different effects and things. It's great for what I want it for, but I wouldn't take it on a gig.

I have no experience with Behringer pedals, V-amps, or guitar amps.

I do own the BX4500 450w head, the BA115 cab w/horn, and the Ultrabass 1200 120w practice amp. All three of these products are durable, inexpensive, and Extremely Feckin' Loud. I would have no problem taking the big head and cab to gigs...in fact I will be in 3 months. Currently they're at my band's practice space. I have my gain and volume both set at 1/4 and my bass pickups both set at 5 and I'm easily the Loudest Guy For Miles. The sound is clean and powerful and the head has quite a few options for sound adjustment (eq, brighteners, and deepeners).

It cost me $459 for the head and cab, about half the cost of a similar GK rig. I recommend the bass amplification highly.

    Thought so. ;)

Just be aware that the proportions are reversed in that picture above....the head is small and easily carryable by the end strap, but the cab is huge and fairly heavy (that's a 15" speaker lost in the center there). You'll need a goodsized vehicle to port it around in. Fortunately, it has wheels on one side too.

In my opinons the ultrabass combos are all 10 times better than the head and cab, I dunno what was up with the one i played but i couldnt get any good tones out of it at all and it didnt really get as loud as the ultrabass 120 watt combo.

Neither sound particularly good but if your stuck for cash there the best for what they cost easily
