Anybody collect this... it was a part work story, similar to Lord of the Rings, published in 52 parts.. fantastic artwork in it...

I collected the first 26, the story then shifted to a future zone or something and i didnt like the look of it so i stopped then...

    Anyone else get this?

Wow, that does bring me back. Same as yourself, I remember collecting up to issue 26 but then stopped when they dragged it onto the 'cyber' versions. I'd say they're all up in the attic somewhere, hopefully still in the case! Must go and search for them now.

Yup same here!! I had totally forgotten about this. I think I collected most of the cyber one too although I didn't like it very much, the ancient trail was WAY BETTER. Do you remember collecting all the cards, and having the map, which eventually became a Dungeons and Dragons type board game?? Classic :0)

Oh yeah, I'd forgotten about the card game. Weren't there different things hidden in the pictures that you had to find as well? I wonder if it's actually worth anything now.

Oh yeah... didn't you have to look out for one of the seven pods or something??

Have all 52 issues @ home -- really enjoyed reading it when I was younger. Must dig them out and have another look soon :)

I liked both the Ancient and Cyber ones, though the Cyber one was obviously a bit weaker since it was a gimmicky extension of the first one.

Used to love playing the card game -- Top Trumps :)

The above website is good, I thought it was a fantastic series especially up to number 26, wish the author would bring out a second series I love this **** and when the writing and story are so good it's an added bonus or even make a film because it is as good if not better than Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings in content. :D

There are several sites about this work that I have found, the most informative is at http://ancestraltrail.blogspot.com/ where there are storylines, pictures etc. The next is at http://www.compnix.co.uk/at.htm go to the bottom and it takes you to all different sites and lastly both Yahoo and Google have Ancestral Trail chatrooms.
