Got my pc in 04 all went well for 1 year and then as soon as the warrenty ran out my hd crashed. Got a new HDD and reloaded windows, entered the p key no problem. I am now on my 3rd HDD, And Windows wont accept the key anymore. This is genuine and i am not trying to load my xp on other systems etc. I use the disc that came with my pc, a recovery disc. Will I phone microsoft, Can you only reload xp so many times ? Anyone . M:confused:

Yes phone Micrsoft. Its an automated service now so you won't even have to talk to a "real" person either
You give them the product key and they spit out a new serial code. :D
...Or at least thats the way it worked when I had similar issue..
