I have some movies that I have in .avi format and I wanted to play them on my PC but watch them on my (Phillips 36" Widescreen) TV. I have an NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900XT 128MB graphics card with SVideo out and one what looks like a serial port too.. But I'm wondering, if I connect an SVideo lead and connect a Right/Left Audio lead from my Sound Card, will my TV pick up the video and show it correctly on my TV including the sound?

    S Video does video only.

POwer City sell a PC Tv kit for a tenner which has a 5 metre S Video (gfx card to tv) and a 5 metre Audio to L and R (it goes from your headphone socket or direct from speaker whichever you prefer). and the Tv will show the S Video signal with the L and R sound.

The power city thing also has a Scart block that Svideo can plug into if your tv has no RGB so sound and video go into the Scart thing and straight into Tv.

I used to do that but the wires anooyed me so i bought a Divx dvd player.

Don't you mean that Svideo does Video only..?

I presume also that the likes of MAPLINS would do this thing too...?
