Tiling question

I'm about to start a tiling job for my Mam and just had a question on spacers - the tiles are 950mm and they gave her 4mm spacers.

The tiles do not have straight edges, you could draw a straight square around the four corners, but each side curves in slightly between the corners. I'm thinking that 4mm of grout plus the extra bit of space between these curves would make the grout look too thick. Any tilers know the normal best practice here?

Also, I've not laid wall tiles with unstraight edges like this before and I don't think the spacers will be that much use in the end do you just have to lay these using your eye for judgement?
