tournament advice

    i've decided to bite the bullet and play my first big buy in(for me) tournament today, the dublin cup in citywest later(had a very good weak at cheltenham!)......i've some live tournament experience but mostly on line experience so i'm looking for some tournament strategy tips etc from you experienced guys......what works for you?.....should i only play premium hands for the first few levels or try and limp in with lesser hands....any advice welcome and appreciated....cheers

    firstly, if I'm sitting at your table, smile to me, say hello and donate your chips, in a nice friendly manner.

    Otherwise, play tight until I get there.

    You'll learn fast, just try to translate your online play to live play. Position is the most important thing and try to get a hand range on the players around you and watch for betting paterns.

    When you get a big hand, get paid. Most important....
