I'm contemplating doing a postgrad course in NUIG next year, elaborate on any reasons why Galway is the place to go?!

Cheaper accomadation then Dublin/Cork, college campus is not spread over a 5 km sprall saving your walking legs, the college bar is one of the longest in the country, the craic is mighty, its the homeland of Supermacs and its an allround nice place.

What dept are you going to for the postgrad?

    I'd definitely go!

I have nothing but good things to say about the place. I'm going to UL to do my postgrad next year, and it absolutely killed me turning Galway down (but, really, its time for me to move up and on)!

You can't beat the availability of accomodation, the city is small and easy enough to get around on foot, the social life is unreal, and the Living Room has the best brunch ever.
