Very first hand, I post the blind UTG. I get KK.

I decide to make it $15. 2 call, button and SB the both have more than my 200.
Flop comes 347r.. SB checks and I push..

so you tanked $185 into a $47 pot.....hmmmmmm.. I understand not wanting to give cheap cards but a pot size bet here is the right move IMO because if someone has hit their set or vul and doubtful if some has the str8 then you've just handed all your money to them

But in saying that i dont think you could ever fold on that board after the raise preflop but Pot size bet is fine here. You can only be called by an overpair to the board or something stronger.

So you can pay 1bb to play an average hand out of position obviously.

Playing 6 handed I post on the button because I play so many hands there Im probably giving up more equity waiting 5 hands to play rather than post. 9 handed id post in mp. Is this standard?

I don't really know what's standard. I post on the button 6 handed but not in MP 9 handed.

Jess Louise, a couple of bottles of Tuborg, and 4 party tables open and you're all taking the pisss. Years of grammatically perfecto posting and now this. Damn you all, damn you all to hell.

I often play loose for first few hands at a table & then slow down.
If I have had a bad beat and get AA KK the following hand I will often type nonsense in chat box and then fire in an obscenely large PFR. It works. I just decided to try it on my first hand at a table this time.

Re: "oh I go for the check raise" ....well well well, So you check into 2 unknown opponents, they may not bet!!
In the hand he called me w/ AQo!

I didnt say I go for the check/raise - I said its far superior.

Well done in getting called by AQ, I might start trying this method.
