Not too far from me (Tralee) and a good road all the way. Might be a nice jaunt for the sprint - provided I can get the weather to service it on Saturday.:)

well, it was lashing rain and i still went and so did blue850...daft buggers that we are.....nice to meet you mate...

about 30 cars there, didnt get to see them too clearly through the windscreen and stayed about 10 mins......it was getting a tad muddy in the gateway....

your Fiat looked nice 850, have seen ti before a few times I think....nice Irish car, is it a family heirloom?

oh and btw, i was hardly after getting parked when some guy asked if it was American and then (when told it was German) asked if it was a Cortina.....(shakes head sadly....)

I stayed on until 3.00, a few more brave/foolish:D souls showed up after you left Corktina , rough count of about 50 cars and 50 tractors. Getting out the gate was challenging to say the least. The 850 got out with a push from a few marshalls but a big Massey was called in for the heavier stuff. Well organised for a first time show, well sign posted from Ennis, cup of soup and 'sangiches' for exhibitors, and a little brass plaque on the way out, and all proceeds were for a local hospice. pity about the weather, roll on Durrow:)
The 850 is in original nick, a 3 owner car , have it about 6 years, went to buy a Fiat 500 and brought it home instead, think I'll treat it to a lick of paint when Bertie's SSIA coughs up next year.

Blue850... found an old FIAT in MAyu yesterday....small, with chrome grill (so front engined?) not 126/127 either...older than that I think....what is it and is it rare?

Oooh a challenge, identify a car with no pic:D Has it round or rectangular headlights? Is it 2 door or 4? All small 2 door 50s/60s Fiats before the 127 were rear engined but the 850 has a small dummy plastic-chrome grill. if its 4 door it be a 1100

Had 3 127 Sports years ago, sold one ,crashed one and scrapped one:(
The one I sold is being restored to as new condition in Roscommon. The owner even found a brand new engine for it. What colour was the Fiat in Mayo and whereabouts was it? I know there was a maroon Fiat 1100 near Foxford except its not a Fiat , it was an Indian built Padmini. 1987 or 89 i think

    near Foxford...that would be it...red?

127 was dark blue or black...near Belmullet.....

Yeah that sounds like the car, a dark red colour, think the owner was finding it hard to get parts for th engine, saw it about 3 years ago, my brother used to pass it every day on the way to Ballina in his truck so I went with him one Saturday for a look, a girl working in India had brought it back when she moved home to Ireland. There is a mint white Fiat 1100R here in Galway just like the one in the photo, it might be for sale soon as the owner is restoring a porsche 356 and already has a Sprite and a Porsche 914.... too many cars no space etc etc

I know a man who bought a porsche 911 targa sportmatic for 75 pounds cos it had been left outside with perished roof seals, interior was destroyed but its a 1975 with galvanised bodywok and the engines a runner
