Wouldn't mind seein Antony & The Johnsons. Where did the sudden interest in gang of four come from? As I was buyin the toxic compilations in tower last week the guy behind the desk gave me a CD sayin.... "you might like it - gang of four are on it". I'd only ever heard the name before this, but they seem to have suddenly become fashionable. Listened to the CD anyway. It was all ****.

people are so narky on boards.ie i thought the punk forum might be different but more fool me.

Is punk a state of mind as a lot punks believe or a music sound?

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 6,525 Mod ✭✭✭✭dregin

Punk isn't associated with these festivals or any gigs run by MCD or Aiken.

Punk is a music genre. The people who like punk tend to have strong opinions regarding money robbers.

    That is correct.

ievery second post is turning into this rant...in fairness to frank he does a good job(tho he made a balls of nashcille pussy, but hes only human). i dunno his motives, they seem a bit too organised for him to be doing out of the goodness of his heart, but he's doing us a favour anyway, it certainly beats trawling ticketmaster.ie every few weeks. its a punk forum, we all know what punk is, is it neccesary to comb its definition every few posts, usually ending in name calling?<finishes motherly rant>

All well and good, but once ticketmaster.ie is involved with anything it's a sure sign that either MCD, Aiken or some other money grabbing crowd of cunts is involved.

This is the second time you have 'had a go' at me. As I said in the first one, where is your opinion? If I am wrong then point out exactly where it is that I am wrong instead of posting your hollow crap. This is a discussion board and i'll post on whatever subject I choose.

Also on your comment before this you said you're sick of reading my opinions and now you say if I dont like what I see ignore it. Why dont you ignore mine ?

As stated previously, but for the mentally-challenged ........

Folks I would like to clear something up here - I AM NOT A PROMOTER, I am a music loving gig-aholic who posts on upcoming shows that take place round Ireland. Buzzcocks was a Village / Whelans show, GAMAK was same, The Beat was Toxic etc etc, there are a variety of different promoters envolved in the shows I mention - I pay in like everyone else and do not proffer from them, end of story.

Smoke that kido, sounds like you are the sell-out! I'll post where I like.
