If your were gicen the choice of going all expenses paid to the WSOP or The World Cup Finals in Germany which would you pick?

I'd have to go for the World Cup, been watchin footy all my life but only playin poker the last 8 months or so. One of these days i'd love to go to the WSOP though.

You can play in the WSOP you can't in the World Cup.

Ireland aren't in the world cup, so can't even pretend there is a competition. There would be a lot of expenses to be paid for the WSOP too!!!

You offering one lucky winner the choice Bananaman?????

This makes me think of those annoying recorded phone calls I get from time to time. You know the one where the American woman says

"Congratulations, you have won a holiday. Press 9 now to ... blah blah"

If she said "Congratulations, you have won an all expenses paid trip to Las Vegas to watch the World Series of Poker", how many of you would risk it and press 9 ?

World Cup wins. I've watched every game on TV starting with 1970. If I had the money I would go. When I checked if tickets were available I learned that the first ticket allocation was oversubscribed X 40.

It's a great way to make a few Euro. Turn on the telly, log on to betfair.

Last WC I had €1100 on USA to win v Portugal at 4/11 when the USA were leading 3-1. Within a few minutes one of the USA backs scored the most fabuous own goal. Fecker. Luckily it ended 3-2.

If I had a WSOP ticket i probably would swap it for that. Then again i'm not likely to have a WSOP ticket in the next while!
