Anyone know what the IT market is like for Graduates in London at the moment. I would be looking for a software development or a technical consultant type position. Friend of mine just got a job over there and i would consider moving too if i got a job

Yea grad job market is greatly improved this year compared to previous years.

Plenty of positions were available in Ireland this year, if you'd prefer not to go aboard.

But as damnyanks said pretty much all the application dates have long since passed.

Most closing dates are in Oct/Nov. I got my job offer back in Jan.

So you've prob missed the boat for this year. Best thing is to get some short term contract work before applying in the autumn.

Ya was thinking i missed most of them. Ill prob get a job here anyway have had quite a few interviews and even a job offer but the company had to revise their budget and wont be hiring people till late in the year or early next year.

    www.efinancialcareers.com

Search for 'graduate' 'IT' 'developer' etc. Salaries seem really good, but then again, living in London costs a fortune.

Not all the programs are closed. I know Merryl Lynch are still recruiting, it could be all year round for technology as the training nis no where near as intensive for front office roles.

efinancial career's isn't so useful unless its for information. Most of the ad's seem fake or just agencies (Of course their are legit ones as welll!)
