Just watched this for the time yesterday evening and have to say its was 2 hours of the finest tv I have ever witnessed. The action the tension the drams anyone who has ever said a bad thing bout this series should watch those hours and try and criticise then.

The only series that you could even come close to it tension wise would have to be the shield. If it continues this way a happy man I'll be.

Hope they rebuild the blackbird too.

Saw it for the first time last night as well. Excellent.
While I thought that you could figure out in advance what was going to happen as the ep unfolded - it was just so well done with such great acting that it has convinced me to get the boxed sets of this new Galactica series.
The only part I thought was off was Apollo's bit with Starbuck and Dee at the end. No where yet has he given any indication of this frame of mind up to that point and it just seemed to be squeezed in and out of place.
I really have no idea what direction this show is going to take overall and am loving it because of that.

A side note - after how good those two eps were last night I didn't want my BSG night to end at that point so I took out my Original Series BSG DVD set and watched the two Pegasus eps from that show.
I have to give credit to the makers and cast of the original series as those two eps stood up very well to the quality of the new shows Pegasus and Resurection Ship eps.

Great acting from the cast in both series. Also cool seeing the differences and similarities in both takes on the story - particuarly the Cain and Adam relationships. And I still love the opening credits music from the original series - really epic sounding.

Quick question - who here thinks the original Pegasus with Llyod Bridges survived their Cylon encounter? I have always thought that Cain being the military genius he is would not have gone into that situation without a back door and that if there had been more time given to the series the Galactica and Pegasus would have meet again.

It was brilliant, especially the two plots - so tense!

I think Cain had to survive it made sense i was always waiting for a spin off but at least he left the gorgeous Sheba on Galactica
